Free Vastu Tips - Part 1:

Free Vastu Tips

We are known for asking, sharing and giving various tips. May it be in person, on WhatsApp or on any other social media. The Internet is flooding with vastu tips, free introduction courses, youtube videos and what not. More than often these tips are good to read but are either impractical to follow or just don’t work as publicized.  It is always best to consult a professional rather than depending on free tips. Particularly in vastu, half knowledge can be very dangerous and have a negative impact.

That being said, our thirst for free tips can never be quenched. Although I am not known to share free tips, over the years I have compiled a few general Vastu tips that are sure to work.

·        Get rid of old unused items:  It is hard to admit that we all have tons and tons of old items that we don’t use but still hang on to them for some unknown reason. It may be broken toys, old clothes, iron scrap, metals, wood pieces, sand, bricks and many other things. We normally have storage in our beds which we fill with unused stuff. We sleep on such beds. It cannot be stressed enough how much negativity these items bring. “मल का त्याग” or “removal of waste” is the base of vastu without which it simply won’t work.

·        Liberate lock Gods: All the photos and idols of God, Shiv linga, Saligram etc which are not worshipped should be either kept in temple or removed from house. Normally we have Gods locked, stacked and buried in various cupboards, drawers, stores and lockers. Gifts, calendars, photo frames, stickers are common sources. Best place to keep God is in our heart, otherwise keeping them in a temple is also okay. Keeping them anywhere else is NOT okay. Also, please don’t paste photographs of Gods all around the house. Just keep them all in one place and call it our temple.

·        Yantras, Rudrākṣa and Exotic Stuff: Yantras and Rudrākṣa must be kept in the temple. If not, better to get rid of them. Ek-Mukhi or One-face Rudrākṣa is NOT recommended for family person. Also, if you have other exotic stuff like snake skin, bone etc at your house, its best to get rid of them unless you have a specific understanding of such a subject.

·        Don’t soil Goddess feet symbol: Many homes have Goddess feet symbol at the entry of the house. This is also the place where we keep shoes and door mat. Needless to say, we want to hold Goddess feet in our heart and not rub our sandals on it. In my experience and through pendulum dowsing technique, I have seen that it brings immense negativity in our house. Once again, please keep all puja related things either in your temple or get rid of them.

·        The ultimate Vastu weapon: If possible, keep two Sankh (Conch) in the Temple, one for keeping water and another for blowing. Sprinkle the water from the conch in the entire house after keeping it for one complete day. Blowing of Sankh removes negativity from all the places where it’s sound travels. The structure of Sankh is the core of vastu, the way sankh amplifies sound is the same how vastu amplifies energy at a place.
